LASER ALIGNMENT

The laser heads are mounted to the shaft and an initial set
of readings are taken to determine the amount of misalignment present. At this time we also check for soft foot problems.

The results from the initial alignment measurements show both
vertical and horizontal misalignment present. The front feet were shimmed and the machine was also moved horizontally to
correct the misalignment.

Another set of readings are taken after the shimming and movement
of the machine. The results show very minimal misalignment and well within tolerances for an 1800 RPM machine. The files are
saved - As Found & As Left and the reports are generated and sent to the customer for their records.

The above chart shows the accepted tolerances for misalignment.
Pinnacle also offers "Alignment Checks" on equipment, which generally only requires the machine to be shut down for
a matter of minutes. We can then issue you reports on the alignment status of your machines so that you can schedule an appropriate
time to perform the entire alignment.
